As an agent, I know, how much a real estate agent can earn monthly, and yearly as well as if he is working under any real estate company how much does a real estate agent get the average salary monthly, and yearly? Simply, it all depends on the agent’s skills, education level, experience, communication skills, and moreover market worth he generates every month.

When I started my career as a real estate agent, for six months, my income was nill. Then I didn’t have good communication skills, close agents, or communication with clients, sellers, buyers, and developers. Only I knew a few people in the real estate business. I didn’t work under any company. Initially, I started my career myself, I didn’t have a license, I was not trained, and frankly, I knew nothing. Getting into the real estate business even after six months, I got zero Commission because I didn’t know how to generate leads? How do close the property deals? How to attract buyers and sellers on how to convince them to believe us.

From morning to evening, I am wandering throughout the city to search for open plots, lands, farmlands, and other properties. First of all, I have to visit the property location where I have to collect all the legal and measurements. Once I checked it then only I showed it to the buyers. If the buyer is willing to buy it, then I will try to convince the seller to accept the negotiated price. In the next step, I have to arrange a meeting for the buyer and seller to close the deal and make the sales agreement. If the deal has closed, I will get the commission from both sides parties 2% from the seller side, and 1% from the buyer side which I am talking about in my particular state Telangana. The commission may vary from state to state and country to country.

After 4 years, I have got some experience in the real estate business which helped me a lot to join a Big real estate company where they were offered a good salary that is 450000 per year. During the interview, they asked me for background details, skills, education details, experience in the real estate sector, tested my communication skills, and how many leads can I generate per month. If they assign any role in the company, how can I deal with clients and customers? And other tests.

In foreign countries, if you want to apply for a real estate agent job, you should have an agent or broker license which you can get from any real estate School. But in India, you don’t require any license, and most of the agents in India are working without a license individually. But my advice is if you take the license from any authorized real estate School or government department, you will have more chances to get the highest salary and income.
