Before you follow these steps
Instagram menus and settings can change by app version, operating system, account type, country, and device maker. Use the steps below as a guide, but if a label on your screen is different, use the platform’s current Help or Settings search rather than assuming the older menu name is still exact.

Remove a Google Account from a computer without deleting it
If the goal is only to stop an account from appearing on a browser sign-in screen, sign out first and remove the saved account from that browser. Google’s current desktop guidance separates this from permanently deleting a Google Account.
- Open a Google page such as Google Account in the browser where the account is signed in.
- Select the profile picture or initial and choose Sign out or Sign out of all accounts.
- On the account chooser, select Remove an account.
- Remove the account you do not want shown on that browser.
This does not delete Gmail, Drive, Photos, purchases, or the Google Account. Permanent account deletion is a different action under Google Account data and privacy settings.

Sign-out, browser-profile removal and account deletion are not the same
Signing out ends the current web session. Removing an account from the Google sign-in chooser only removes that saved choice from that browser. Removing a Chrome browser profile can also remove local browser data associated with that profile from the computer. Permanently deleting the Google Account is much more serious because it can affect Gmail, Drive, Photos, purchases and other services.
On a shared computer, also clear saved passwords or browser profiles that you do not want left behind. If the computer belongs to an employer or school, follow its device-management rules instead of deleting managed profiles.
Quick questions
Will this erase Gmail? No. Removing an account from a browser sign-in list is not the same as deleting the Google Account. Your mail and cloud data stay with the account unless you deliberately use Google’s permanent deletion controls.
What if the account returns? Check whether browser sync, a Chrome profile, or another signed-in session is adding it back. Sign out from the correct profile and review saved browser profiles separately.
