Before you follow these steps
Instagram menus and settings can change by app version, operating system, account type, country, and device maker. Use the steps below as a guide, but if a label on your screen is different, use the platform’s current Help or Settings search rather than assuming the older menu name is still exact.

Trending searches, search history and autocomplete are different
Deleting your own Google Search history does not necessarily remove public trending-search suggestions, because they are separate features. Start by deciding what you actually want to remove: your saved activity, a browser suggestion, or trending searches shown by Google.
For saved Google activity, Google currently lets you manage Search history through My Activity and Web & App Activity controls. You can delete selected activity, delete a date range, or choose an automatic deletion setting. Incognito mode does not add searches to your signed-in Google Account history, although network providers and websites can still see normal network activity.

If suggestions keep returning
Check whether the suggestion is coming from Google Search, the browser address bar, the keyboard, or another app. Each can keep its own history. Clearing one source will not necessarily clear the others. On a shared device, also consider whether another signed-in profile is supplying the suggestions.
For account-level activity, use Google’s My Activity controls. For browser-local suggestions, use the browser’s history and autocomplete settings. For keyboard suggestions, use the keyboard app’s own history or learned-data controls. This distinction prevents repeated deletion of the wrong data.
